FALSE POSTINGS USING MY NAME ON MALCONTENT BLOG

On the other blog they are going to new lows. they are posting using my name with a phony apology.
You guys are sinking to new lows.
and a side note to the so-called catholic that thinks my nativity scene is offensive, in accordance to the Bible, Jesus was born of a virgin mother. Sounds like you are a former catholic that has turned to some other religion. Don't claim to be something you are not. Claim what you are. Ignorant of religion.
Take note.... my picture is on all my postings. Now you can steal that too, for all the good it will do you. YOU ARE SINKING LOWER AND LOWER.

here is the phony posting... you will note, no picture. Fact of the matter is, I have nothing to apologize for nor would I ever give OLGA an apology, as she is the one that owes ME and all vets an apology. And Eddiebuttwipe would not get one either...EVER. SO...when I find who wrote this using my name, rest assured, there will be consequences.

  1. I deeply apologize to Esther, Olga and Eduardo for all the terrible things I said about them .I recently discovered evidence that told me all the things they said about David Israel and Ed Black were true. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that I did not take the time to look in this matter sooner.
I hope the all powerful one above will forgive me as well.
I have recently become a born again Christian as a result of this enlightenment.

    To Bob Rivera,

Now that you are a born agin Christian maybe you will get rid of that vulgar Nativity scene on your blog. As a Catholic, I find it offensive. How dare you advertise Mary holding a "Virgin Baby" when we all know it takes fornication to make a baby - or maybe ya' mama didn't tell you.
    Reply
  3. Bob, is this for real or is this one of David Israel's put up jobs? To joke around about the topics you touch on in the comment is not a good idea.
    Reply
Esther, you need to have a talk with your cronies. This is low, even for them.

"ON CHINA"––A BOOK REVIEW

Hi all,

I buy a lot of books from Amazon. com, as I'm sure many of you do. Often they ask you sometime after the purchase to do a book review. The following is one I just did on Henry Kissinger's book "On China." Maybe it will whet your appetite!

REVIEW OF “ON CHINA” BY HENRY KISSINGER

I have read several of Henry Kissinger's books, beginning with "Diplomacy," and they have all been excellent, including "On China," which I just finished reading. In "On China" Kissinger first describes the country's known history, which stretches back thousands of years. You learn about the various dynasties––and hopefully can remember their order! He explains how China has always been and is still a unique country, not only because of its size, but also because of the way in which the Chinese "see themselves." Understanding the Chinese psyche was essential to Kissinger's success in obtaining US rapprochement with this country. China has never been eager to conquer other countries, Kissinger explains, but HAS been anxious about threats to its far-flung borders. How China has dealt with countries that have made incursions along its borders over the years is very interesting. For one thing, its huge size enables China to ABSORB such incursions and sometimes change those whom it absorbs.

This is a history book taking you from era through era, and then, beginning with President Nixon, from US administration through US administration up to the present day. You learn that in the years following Nixon's famous trip to China, it HASN'T been all smooth sailing for the United States. Every post-Nixon administration has had its China challenges, major or minor.

One often thinks of history books as being dry; “On China” is anything but dry. It is a fascinating and relatively easy read. Kissinger is not only a master of diplomacy, but of EXPLAINING diplomacy and the nuances of statecraft.

If you want to be better informed about this great Asian nation and how she fits into the modern world, “On China” is a must-read.

*****SCAM ALERT*****

*************BEWARE*******SCAM ALERT**********BEWARE**************
If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House saying THAT YOU HAVE AN UNCLAIMED PRIZE AWAITING YOU...IT IS A SCAM.
They are saying that they have a certified check for a large amount of money and a Mercedes in you choice of color. They are claiming to be calling from Jamaica or Las Vegas or where ever...One of the numbers they call from is 876-432-0838 and the person on this line claims to be named Peterson.
Do not fall for this. This person called a friend of mine, who asked me to check it out. I called the number (blocking my number from their caller ID) and made up a name and said it was my sister that had received the call...they went on and on about the check for over a million and a Mercedes Benz that they wanted to deliver etc. they are trying to get info, or money and steal your ID.

Pot calls the kettle black....

Pot calls the kettle black....

The "other" blog is ridiculously calling Dave's blog out on "banning" people from posting. Is that the pot calling the kettle black, or what? How can they criticize his blog when THEY do the exact same thing? I have been banned by Olga from posting on their blog.
On my blog, anyone can post as long as the rules are adhered to. Post your name, anonymous postings (which are usually made by people that desire to make cowardly and insulting remarks without getting themselves in trouble). If you have something to say that is worth saying, then you should take the credit for it, not hide behind "anonymous". So I will not allow it to be posted unless it is something fairly profound and in the intention of my blog. You want to make insulting remarks, go to Olga and Gary's blog where it belongs.
Dave's blog has a limited amount of people in the first part (of one hundred members) so he started the second part (this one) and it is linked to the first. If they want to post, why not sign up on this one?

But if they do, they have nothing to complain about. Kinda makes you go Hmmmmmm.

Is it legal for a association to donate to charities or PRPC?

"Unless the governing documents specifically state that charitable contributions are a common expense, the Board would be using Association funds for other than common expenses in violation of section 718.115(1), Florida Statutes. Association funds may only be spent on common expenses of the Association as defined in The Florida Condominium Act and the governing documents. The Act states in part as follows: 718.115 Common expenses and common surplus.— (1)(a)Common expenses include the expenses of the operation, maintenance, repair, replacement, or protection of the common elements and association property, costs of carrying out the powers and duties of the association, and any other expense, whether or not included in the foregoing, designated as common expense by this chapter, the declaration, the documents creating the association, or the bylaws. Common expenses also include reasonable transportation services, insurance for directors and officers, road maintenance and operation expenses, in-house communications, and security services, which are reasonably related to the general benefit of the unit owners even if such expenses do not attach to the common elements or property of the condominium."

Contented Hikikomori

The following appeared on Bostonglobe.com Dec 16, 2013
Headline: Idle millennials are victims of their parents’ success
Summary:
Word that 6 million young people are not working or studying comes as no surprise to anyone with a millennial in the basement. Yes, 85 percent of this age group is in school or working — albeit many in low-wage jobs. Six million, however, is not an insignificant number. — I wouldn’t want to feed them — though apparently we’re likely to. And their situation is worrisome, as is that of their parents, who no longer fear an empty nest but offspring seemingly incapable of flight. Their fears are grounded researchers say -people who begin their adult lives without jobs are more likely to be unemployed in the future. Bodies at rest remain at rest, even when a portion of one’s idle time is dispatched at the neighborhood gym. Even more unnerving, this generation has contrived a new level of inertia, which the Japanese call “hikikomori.” It’s young people who don’t leave the house at all, not necessarily because they’re scared like agoraphobics, but because their needs are met and they’re content.

Santa as a penguin? What next?

Just had to post this here as well as my own blog...
I was watching The View this morning and shocked at the stupidity of "political correctness" in this country. The latest thing? Santa being white is bigoted. He should be a penguin. Oh come on... How stupid is that? Santa, is based on a real person, Saint Nicholas. He is the patron saint of children, sailors and many other things. Just a little background on Saint Nick (from the St. Nicholas Center)....

Saint Nicholas is said to be just about everyone's saint; he is surely named the patron saint of more causes than any other saint. Nicholas has been chosen as the special protector or guardian of a great many classes of people, cities, churches, and even countries.

Patron saints have lived a life which is a worthy example of how to faithfully follow Jesus Christ and, as part of the communion of saints, they intercede on behalf of those who call upon them.
In the West Nicholas is most widely known as the patron saint of children. Many of his stories tell of children rescued from calamity and returned to the care and keeping of their families. In France the most familiar story, both told and sung, is of three little children lured into the clutches of an evil butcher and rescued by St. Nicholas. Other stories, as well, tell of children who disappeared, were kidnaped, fell into a well, or suffered some other disaster-all to be delivered through the good offices of St. Nicholas. These accounts of a child forcibly taken from parents, followed by a time of grieving and despair, then the miraculous return of the child, have profound and universal appeal which makes Nicholas the much valued Guardian of Children. It is no wonder he is the beloved patron saint of children.
In other parts of the world, however, St. Nicholas' chief patronage is that of sailors and ships—offering safe voyage and protection from storms. Many ports, most notably in Greece, have icons of Nicholas, surrounded by ex-votos of small ships made of silver or carved of wood. Sailors returning safely from sea, place these in gratitude to St. Nicholas for protection received. In some places sailors, instead of wishing one another luck, say, "May St. Nicholas hold the tiller."
Prisoners and others wrongly condemned are St. Nicholas' third major category of patronage. It reveals his strong concern for justice, especially for innocent victims. The stories of guiltless soldiers lives being spared and others wrongly imprisoned being released form the basis for this category.
St. Nicholas providing dowry money to the three impoverished maidens is the story behind his patronage for young women seeking a marriage partner. Even today young women who wish to get married still come to the Basilica di San Nicola in Bari, Italy, on the 6th of December to leave a note to St. Nicholas and put three coins in a box.

wow...I just read some rants on the other blog which don't make sense. people being called racist, and some other unflattering remarks. Can someone fill me in on what she is talking about?
Religion should not or ever be an issue. Each person has the right to practice their religion as they see fit. Bringing it up to make it an issue is just wrong.
Are there racists in the village? Of course there are, but there is no place for it anymore. Get over it and move on.

Five Common Forms of Condo Fraud

thanks Habitat.

New Word - Phubbing

There is phone answering rudeness and then there is playing with a smart phone in company, Augh!
Phubbing stands for “phone snubbing,” and it’s increasingly common practice. With smartphones offering a whole world of time-wasting possibilities it’s all too easy to be tempted to do something other than talk to someone in the real world.

Survey in Britain: 27 percent said they would answer their phone in the middle of a face-to-face conversation. A third confessed that they would answer the phone in a restaurant and 19 per cent said they would while being served in a shop. I think USA is more.

Embezzlement 101: A Question of When

The more trust you place in someone, the more you leave the door open for fraud. "They were like a member of my own family" is the phrase you hear from many business owners after the crime is uncovered.
There has been embezzlement in our village in past few years - Camden, Sussex, and Dover Associations.
Prevention: Watch that there are at least two signatures on checks, but money transfers are also vulnerable,
See this example of a shell game with accounts:
Agents of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Unit arrested 60-year-old Bruce David Sonnenberg after the issuance of an arrest warrant for Money Laundering, Scheming to Defraud, Grand Theft and five counts of Unemployment Compensation Fraud.
Initiated when information was received from the President of the Marsh Harbor Homeowner’s Association, who suspected that the Treasurer, Bruce Sonnenberg, had been mishandling the HOA account and possibly stealing funds.
The ensuing investigation determined Sonnenberg had been stealing funds ($22,000) from the Marsh Harbor HOA account. Sonnenberg moved the stolen money through several different accounts, involving different banking institutions in an attempt to conceal the unlawful activity. The money was traced through Sonnenberg’s personal checking accounts and companies that he owned, including Start Car Company, Son Coast Car Wash and Son Coast Hospitality.

This type of case is exactly what our newly created Economic Crimes Unit was designed for. Our team works daily to make sure that anyone who targets our citizens with fraud or theft goes straight to jail with every charge possible,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Comedian Bill Hicks Rediscovered

Please proceed with caution. Visitors with no sense of humor are advised to turn back now. Management is not responsible for damage to feelings.

After Bill's death in 1994 it was hard to find accounts and Youtubes of his work online, but now there are many newly polished pieces. Just Google - William Melvin "Bill" Hicks was an American stand-up comedian, social critic, satirist, and musician.
Quotable "Listen, the next revolution is gonna be a revolution of ideas. A bloodless revolution. And if I can take part in it by transforming my own consciousness, then someone else's, I'm happy to do it."
On the news "Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."

Within that little gem he had connected with us, taken us on a ride there, using words economically to help us imagine a picture in our heads. It lasts a lifetime; each pocket of one consciousness he opens.

WHERE'S THE BUS?

I'm asking this for my elderly neighbor Nell:

According to the bus schedule in the Nov. Reporter, the No. 2 bus is supposed to stop in front of Sheffield N, where there's a bench, at 8:23 a.m. and hourly at 23 past thereafter, skipping only the 12:30 stop, until 4:23 p.m. This morning Nell waited at 8:23 and again at 11:23 (allowing time before and after), and no bus came by. This has happened before, and it happened still again at 1:23 this afternoon. This last time she watched from her window. Nell ends up sitting out on the bench waiting for a half hour in the heat, where there is no shade, and today she did this twice--an elderly woman dependent on our buses! She told me about it, and I drove her to Publix, where we bought groceries. Nell suspects that because there often is no passenger waiting at our bus stop, the driver may omit the part of the run onto Elgin Street and looping around, and go directly down Glencoe to Hastings. Unless we are misreading the schedule or it's been changed, shouldn't the driver be following the prescribed route?  If he or she is skipping our stop out of sheer laziness or pressure to meet the schedule, it irritates me. And if the driver should say, "I look up the street and see nobody at the stop; that's why I go straight down Glencoe," I would protest. The driver is on the left side of the bus looking far to the right if he does this; AND, sitting on the bench, one often cannot see the bus on Glencoe, so how could the reverse be true and the driver be assured of being able to see someone on, behind or approaching the bench?
