    Beautiful photos of the northland, which I remember so well. As long your home remained heated, there were groceries, the roof didn't leak and the cellar didn't flood, it was a pleasure to look out the big bay window and see scenes such as these. And it was the same for being out of doors. As long as you were dressed warm enough and in good health, it was fun and a pleasure to be out in the cold and snow. It's just that the margin between such enjoyment and disaster is a thin one. If the electricity fails, if ice dams cause the roof to leak, if rain after freezing weather causes the cellar to flood . . . Or if your car breaks down in the middle of a blizzard, or you're now in frail health . . . . Then you're glad to be down in the sunny climes enjoying PICTURES of the ice and snow.
