Useless invitation, Elaine. I have friends and relatives in all parts of New England, and they are all snowbound. My son Tim spent all day yesterday dealing with ice dams on the eaves and shoveling snow off his roof. My boyhood best friend and his sister (live in Lebanon, NH) were going to host a Valentine's Day party today but had to postpone it. The problem has been not only the snow on the roads but where to put it. They've dumped some in Boston Harbor. Around April these guys might be able to extract themselves from the snow and head here. Nice thought, though.
Hi Lanny, here is actual email from northern friend -' We're anticipating storm #8 today . . this time it's a "blizzard" - more serious than the previous storms. It is not the time to be Condo President as my phone rings off the hook and my email mailbox is clogged . . eight reported ice dams, oil fill pipes buried under piles of snow, huge (and dangerous) icicles hanging from the gutters.' Made me feel much better :-)
