Hi Lanny, Denial at this late date is futile. This Post has been up since the 10th. That fact aside, the resemblance is striking! Clearly this is you as a child.
Just back to Blog No. 2, and I see the CV mayor/Blogmeister has got into the act as I might have suspected would happen, and no one has answered my question "Did Fanny Brice speak the part of Baby Snooks on the radio program by that name?" The answer is yes, among many other things she did, according to Wikipedia, which I just checked. I tried playing the video, but I get no sound, but from what I can see, I like Fanny. Fanny and Lanny: it does have a nice ring to it. I remember listening to Baby Snooks. My parents thought I would enjoy it and I did. Dave was also a child prodigy, playing the part of "Baby Swan" (not Baby Snooks) in a ballet. He was in the ugly duckling stage at that time, of course.
A little before my time!
ReplyDeleteIs that a precursor of Tina Turner. I will try Tina Tribute

I didn't post this! But I remember my mom and dad talking about Fanny Brice. Did she play Baby Snooks?
