Before Irma there was a huge tree, it fell and was cut below turf level. Now the stumps and the roots continue to sprout, it could become a forest. But is frequently mown. Moan!
These look like the openings to tunnels. Are you sure there aren't creatures underground that use these openings at night to check out the Village? It might be a good idea to set up one of those motion detectors so it takes a running photograph of anything emerging at night, don't you think? The opening is just about the right size for a Burmese python, if I'm correct. Or might it be part of the much-discussed alligator shortcut to Sussex L?
