WELL DONE, DOM, AND THANK YOU.

When is a retirement not a retirement?

In a very short while Dom Guarnagia's two-year term as UCO vice president will be coming to a close.

Did I say two years? Judging from the amount of work you and Kate have put into this Village, Dom, it seems as if it must have been a much longer time. I understand that you are running for the Executive Board, and—did I hear right?—you may continue working on some construction matters with our CAM? When is a retirement not a retirement? The answer: When you are a UCO volunteer and, most assuredly, when your name is Dom Guarnagia!

I hope you and Kate experience some relief now that your term is ending, Dom. And I hope you know this: There are a great many Century Village residents who appreciate all you have done for us.

In addition to your normal VP duties, you taught those excellent classes on maintenance and upkeep, complete with those handout sheets with your professionally-done color sketches. Our physical plant was your specialty, and how you took that in hand! We will not forget the yeoman work you did for many months (was it over a year?) in not only being a VP, but doing the work of a CAM while we were without one. Unfailingly courteous to all who came to you, you somehow did it all with a smile.

In the March Reporter, prefacing your article on “Things That Do Not Require Permitting” (which you DID suggest we cut out) you wrote: “Most of my articles are informational but in no way worthy of clipping out of the Reporter and keeping for future reference.” Not so, I think. “WERE worthy of being cut out and saved for future reference” is how I would put it.

Thank you, Dom, if I may say so, from a Village full of people much indebted to you.

Win or Lose Damage the Village

Riddle: Question, what is it that no man wants, but no man wants to lose?
Answer: A law suit!
What could be very expensive, make us uninsurable or raise our insurance rates, even if we win? Solomon & Karpf law suits.

Feeling nostalgic see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSF6vuqIA8E for the above.

Vote for the Most Qualified Candidates .. not for obligation

Thanks for the Support and well wishes, " Phone Calls.".. Thank You...PLEASE  it is over...
Go back to voting for the Candidate of you choice,  before the Malcontent Blog Comments...
Funny how those malicious comments  brought me from unknown to much talked about  Exec. Bd. Candidate. Yet,  no mention about my qualities.     I know and you know I would have been an asset to the Board.  Anyway,  It is over... lets all settle down,  and do the correct thing on Election Day..for the benefit of  all Century Village...
Best Wishes and  Good Luck to all the qualified candidates....Warm Regards Frank Leggio

In Century Village UCO, Peace to People of Good Will

To My Friends, Family, and supporters, that have phoned my concerning the unmerited  bashing I have been receiving these last couple of days..  It is over, peace at last..
It all started when I attended a meeting for Candidate Mr. Edward Grossman, CPA.
My presents at this question and answer meeting, was misinterpreted  by Presidential Candidate, Ms. Esther Sutofsly,  presidential committee . I have attended several of these meets, for both sides, so that I could make and educated decision ..
If I have offended either side of the Candidates, by attending these meets, I whole heartily apologize.
Having said that, I did expect an apology, for all the horrible things said about me in print...
Like I said,  It is over,  and we must forgive and join forces to improve and make our Beautiful Century Village a better place,  for all..

The following are the last posts to a peaceful ending....
Warm Regards, I Remain the unknown Exec Bd. Candidate Frank Leggio

Dear Frank,

You came to the Messinger Club meeting and asked to be put on our slate . You stated you were new in the village, not known hated David Israel. The following day we saw an article written by you on David's blog commenting how wonderful he was. This was a direct contradiction to what you told us at the meeting. We naturally felt you were playing tricks on us. If this is true, I stand by my comment. If it is not true, I apologize to you and will be happy to buy you an espresso with anisette and a touch of lemon.

Best regards,

Olga Caponigro Wolkenstein

  1. Dear Olga, Let's just end this right here..or maybe over that espresso with anisette and a touch of lemon.
I went to that meeting to hear Ed Groosman, not to campaign for myself, I told every one I spoke with, that I felt I did not stand a chance to win, for lack of experience. Sorry if I was miss understood... and please, I don't. nor can I hate anyone.... I wish all the candidates the best of luck, and may the best person win... Peace at last, now I can go back to my corner and continue to be "HAPPILY UNKNOWN FOREVER'" I am retired and I intend to stay that way... Bye, Bye, Warm Regards, Frank

Why me!! Why me Esther ?? I am the unknown Exec Bd. Candidate, NOT THE GODFATHER

Esther, Esther, you refer to my "Boss" like in the God Father Movie..I am appalled to think a person in your position running for the highest office in Century Village would resort to name calling, (Tricky Dickster)
When you have a few free moments please feel free to explain that remark.

I was introduced to you by my "Boss"  while attending a question and answer meeting for
Edward Grossman CPA.  We were talking and I told you a little bit about myself..I told you I was running
for the Exec Bd..I also expressed my feeling of being unknown, and that I felt I would not win.  If that is what you call "begging" then I don't know what the word begging means .  I  also would like to know what I did to Dupe you and party.   You also make reference to David Isreal,  in connection with me,  I honestly hope you don't think he is my "Boss" and or he has the power to get me voted into the Exec Bd.
Oh, by the way you also don't have that power. So. by me  "Duping "  you or him, still wouldn't get me on the Exec. Bd.  Can you not see that?
So,  again, when you have a moment, clearly tell me what I did to offend you to merit such  a word bashing, and name calling.  Waiting to hear from you on the "Malcontent Blog".. of which I tried posting this three times without success...  Till then , Warm Regards, you college and running mate, Frank Leggio

Now; as for you Ms. Olga  Walkenstein,  My Dear  "Italian Comare"
What  is wrong with you??   You don't know me nor do I know you...  we have never met of spoken,  how can  you be ashamed of me for bringing  "Disgrace and Dishonor to your heritage"
Please be aware I am an American,  I am running for office in these United States of America.
I proudly served my country USA, in time of war, having said this.  now please tell me what was my deplorable behavior  ..  Did I rape, kill, rob, etc...  Who the blank..... are you  to say, I should never be allowed  to hold office in UCO, because I cannot be trusted.
FYI, if ever I have the power or the control of Century Village, (do to the low level of  candidates)
(no offense to the good concerned officials) (you know who you are) for office this year, I will make sure Century Village will have outside paid management..

My Dear Sister in God,  Please go back to Italy, and  maybe you will succeed to bash those loving caring people, who also never harmed you... Warm Regars Frank Leggio
P.S.   Mention my winning name, and, you will receive a free cup of  cappuccino, to calm you down..Ciao
!!          Oh, yes, free coffee, without begging..!!..

The new mall is so close I expect the Transportation Cmte is getting creative. A mall trip could go twice, and back twice if people do not crowd onto the last return. There are signs that get you back to tour bus parking. Interesting that the hospital advertises in the food court.

Ready for an Accountant for Treasurer.

It was a pity some questions were unread at the Forum, ill health can strike anyone anytime
Here is one such question left out
QUESTION: Esther, on 12/24/13 you posted this blog entry:
“ … David Israel and Ed Black nearly bankrupted us.”
Could you please explain how Mr. Israel and Mr. Black nearly bankrupted us, especially since we’ve had 4 years of balanced budgets and clean audits, and we have never been in danger of not paying our bills. And please cite specific instances....
A: ElaineB answer - One scary number was arrived at by adding up all future bills and ignoring future income. Voila! Bankrupt with grandstanding and disruption.

I am so ready for a real accountant for Treasurer. Howard O'Brien has an excellent background and participates calmly and sensibly in UCO meetings.
Howard + Dave's slate will keep us in the green :-)

Deja Vue All Over Again

Were Esther's questions for Dave at the Forum familiar? Yes, they were those vague, general and untrue accusations from the Dave Recall effort, 2012-13, do you remember it was defeated - Retain in Office as UCO President:158, To remove from Office:1, Abstentions:3.
Yes, Mr. Jerry Karpf, Mr. Myron Solomon, and Mr. Ed Grossmans' accusations all over again, those questions were answered thoroughly and completely last year. But if you want more law suits and you have Esther and Olga's blog to invent and embellish your story let's harass Dave and take time and energy away from his work. I think these hostile, angry people have now convinced us that they will never contribute anything to the betterment of the Village. They only put energy and effort into negative campaigns. What a waste these people are and what an expense for the Village.
Note: for health reasons I do not read the MyVillage malcontent blog

LACKING EXPERIENCE

Hello David
A little humor to take away the stress of the "Candidates Forum"
today at the club house.

Good Luck,  for your upcoming Presidential Election.
I know I won't make the, Executive Board, because I am a little too unknown, and more importantly,
Like you told Esther, ( at the question and answer segment today)

                                       LACKING EXPERIENCE

Best Wishes, Warm Regards, Frank Leggio

Take the Village BACK to ???

people who are obviously addicted to lawsuits against all of us!
Thx Don, could not say it better, see Law Suit on Part 1 Blog

"Five Million Dollars. Fantastic. More legal bills, to be shared by every CV Homeowner.
I noticed today that the opposition group has finally published their complete "slate", with Executive Board candidate endorsements. With one or possibly two exceptions, every person on this list is a Dave Israel hater, WiFi opponent, UCO lawsuit plaintiff, or rejected former UCO operatives tossed out on their asses in previous elections for being inveterate troublemakers. I have no doubt that most of these people support this new lawsuit.
I urge all Delegates to reject this "slate" in it's entirety, and to pay special attention to the malcontent candidates for Executive Board. These people, if elected, will work to obstruct every project and initiative undertaken by the next Israel Administration, just out of pure spite.
Get out the broom. Make a clean sweep."

Blogspot Limits etc.

Re Richland blog comments in the UCO Reporter.
1.  There are 3 main blogs in the village, all use Blogspot format with a limit of 100 authors. Our Village Blog reached its limit of 100, therefore we opened Our Village Part 2, this is thoroughly explained on the sidebar of Part 1. (It is not wilfully limited by Mr. Israel.) The third blog MyVillageBlogger has one or two authors + some anonymous, it is censored and sensible comments are not accepted.
2.  I do not think it is a cold war when only one side is mudslinging, name calling, bullying, inventing scandals!  Dave Israel and UCO workers are refusing to be drawn in and continue to work every day to create a common good.
3.  And, WPRF has not changed their rules for campaigning in public areas. Thx for Eva's response in the Feb UCO Reporter.
4.  And, Candidates can campaign at any meeting where they ask and are given permission by the leader of the event.
Additional info removed, less aggravation.

Would you buy something from direct mail, with vague promises and no background detail or demo! NO WAY

Camden Pool Gate

After many variations on the gate ate the Camden Pool, they finally have a gate that works well, that is until some jerk decides he doesn't like the way it opens and tries to break the gate. When approached as he is banging the gate trying to break it, he comes out with cussing and jerking off motions. REAL CLASS.
Hey tough guy, Break the gate, get the bill.
It took a long time to get the gates to work properly, various changes made until there was a good gate that will open out without damaging the gate from people opening it the wrong way. The gates are required by the state to keep people safe. mostly for little people otherwise known as children. If you break the gate, you take the chance of the state possibly coming in and closing the pool, and that would only inconvenience all the other residents. All because some idiot doesn't like the way the gate works. He's a suggestion, learn how to open and close a gate. If you aren't intelligent enough, ask a neighbor to give you a hand. Don't act like a lunatic trying to break it, and try acting like an adult, not some tough punk teen. That can only get you results you may not like.

THE GOVERNMENT YOU GET IS THE GOVERNMENT YOU DESERVE - VOTE DAVE ISRAEL FOR PRESIDENT

The final slate for the UCO election in March has been published in this BLOG, A synopsis of my work has also been published - now a few issues arise.
-
I am going to ask you, Delegates all, to return me to Office, I ask this in consideration of four years of solid accomplishments, and promise of more results to come.
-
A key request, is to elect a slate of Officers and Executive Board members who will work with me as President to bring great accomplishments to our Village. Following is my slate of nominees that I would like you to elect to office; in short they have my full endorsement.
-
DAVE ISRAEL'S  SLATE FOR 2014 ELECTION TO OFFICE

PRESIDENT
 David Israel
-
VICE PRESIDENT
     Robert Marshall,
Joy Vestal
   -
CORRESPONDING SEC'Y
   Pat Sealander

RECORDING SEC'Y
     Phyllis Siegelman

TREASURER
  Howard O'Brien

EXECUTIVE BOARD
Roberta Boehm-Fromkin,  Ruth Bernhard-Dreiss,   Ken Davis,  George Franklin, David Givens,  Dominic Guarnagia,  Antoinette Salometo,  David Saxon, Lori Torres, Jean Komis.

Vote in these folks who come to office to serve, not in opportunistic search of power. It is clear, that Ms. Sutofsky is attempting to pack the Executive Board with obstructive people in order to prevent any forward movement on my programs. Don't let her succeed in this plan.
-
Finally, who should not be elected under any circumstances, and why:
-
1) Esther Sutofsky..... No Experience on Committees or any other organ of UCO Government. Zero record of service to our Village, an opportunist seeking power, not service.
-
2) Jerry Karpf..... Jerry is suing UCO, seeking your Email addresses and $392,000.00 dollars. why would you vote for someone who is suing you??
-
3) Ed Grossman..... Principally known for disrupting our Delegate Assembly meetings and other meetings.  Ed has no record of service to our Village, only a record of disruption. Why would anyone nominate such a person, or vote for him.??
-
4) Olga Wolkenstein..... Like Mr. Grossman, Olga is famous for disruption of the Delegate Assembly and other UCO meetings. In my opinion, she would be naught but a disruptive presence in UCO. She also has no significant record of service to our Village.

There's something bad in the neighborhood

There are ranting emotional mailings going around.
It is just egos having temper tantrums. They are saying anything and claiming anything. What have these people done for us lately - NOTHING. What did they do in the past - caused a lot of damage to the village. Now they think if they talk really fast they can rewrite their miserable histories.

When you look and listen - If it's just noise and anger wrapped in high falutin' principals, but with no productive ideas, we don't need it. UCO is doing a fine job taking care of business and taking care of the Village. Its time for the established residents to let the newer people know the truth of this and not be confused by tantrums.

Dave Israel <3 Century Village
Meanwhile:

The do-nothing Stooges accused Dave Israel of being reckless - how ridiculous. Dave researches everything, licenses, insurance, prices, law, reviews entire industries. He is meticulous and perfectionist, he brings in legal opinions and accounting audits and engineering studies and reviews. He also protects us against scammers and cheats. This is just the way he is. If you have ever been on a Dave project committee you will work your socks off.

Welcome Scammers 1

Once upon a time (4+ yrs ago) we had an administration based on closed meetings, misguided loyalty, quid pro quo, very little published info, delayed warnings about bad decisions.
Since then UCO has worked hard on a new level of tight professional vigilance, technology, adherence to the law and bylaws, including Sunshine laws.
Now there is a group that values the old way, they even support people who are suing all of us in the village (lawsuits for fun and profit?). They think they can break any regulations.
We've seen this movie before.... This will make us ripe for plucking again.
Welcome scammers

Phony Scandals

Obama said "Fox creates endless phony scandals about the White House" we know how you feel Obama.
The malcontents copy the worst of national politics methods, mudslinging hoping something sticks no matter how wildly inaccurate. Misinformation labelled 'Scandals' . Then they have a band of blockers to stop everything the President wants to do.
Does the village want to go backwards because of a few mean-spirited egos.

Lost Opportunity thanks to Stupidity and Prejudice.

The upcoming 5K run has lost a great opportunity to really make a difference, all thanks to a few closed minded people. I am speaking of an association that I am personally involved with that was originally invited to participate and was later asked not to.
I am Speaking of The Combat Veterans Association. We were originally asked to take lead on this run. Our groups mission is Vets Helping Vets. We will do various things like riding our motorcycles in support of Veterans causes. Raising money to help Vets and their families and providing assistance when needed.
A good example would be a vet we call Spence. He had a horrific accident vs. a semi. He was in a coma, awoke and when ready to go home, we assisted in making his home handicap accessible, assisted his family to put up Christmas decorations for his homecoming, got him a hospital bed and escorted his homecoming.
We are currently raising money to assist with his medical bills, gave him an electric wheelchair. The latter coming out of my own pocket.
In shunning this fine organization, the run lost out on as much as a thousand dollars in donations.
Shame to you closed and little minded people that didn't want motorcycles or as I heard it put, "a motorcycle gang" involved in such a good cause.
The Combat Veterans Association is a legitimate not for profit group of Veterans and their families that HELP Vets. I am disgusted at this and although I do not blame it's organizers nor WPRF, I have asked to be removed from the assignment of photographing and writing the story for the Reporter and was initially denied. The story has been reassigned now, and now I choose to completely boycott the event. It is shameful that this is an event for Vets, and Vets were left out because of a few ignorant BIG MOUTHS.
My apologies to it's organizers as this is not meant to be a reflection of their fine work, but for me, I choose to remain distant from the stupidity and prejudice of the naysayers. Good luck.

Spence's Homecoming 5-6 months after his accident just in time for Christmas.

in passing.

The man I considered my step-father, Joseph Barrios Sr. passed away 1st February. A kind and generous soul. He had been ill for some time, but had only recently took a turn for the worst and was admitted to Good Sam. He went to SICU a couple days later then to Hospice a few days after that.
When the VA would only offer large breeds for my service dog, Joseph went with me and picked Sadie, my miniature schnauzer as my service dog and she went into training a couple months later.
Sadie, who turned two today, stayed by his side until he passed.

Outsourcing the Association Board

Lanny got me thinking about dysfunctional Associations.
What if these orphan associations had a 'special' designation and :
The Management Company (MC) was told to be more proactive in maintenance and landscaping and suggest improvements.
MC does monthly inspections.
MC enables tasks recommended by insurance risk assessment and UCO maintenance.
MC reads UCO Reporter for alerts
MC adopts care of private items like patio and furniture, flag and pole
MC manager runs budget and election meeting, keeps minutes
Association uses MC budget
Association uses UCO recommended insurance
Association hires law firm and makes them the Association agent, also has them update the bylaws
Association has rental laundry equipment and service
Association has preferred list of contractors and single pest control company (not the inside every month type)
Real estate - UCO could provide short list of steps for realtor to take burden from association, some realtors already have it down

Exceptions:
Association would need people to watch out for abuse
Signing up with 55+ Florida Commission on Human Relations still requires President letter (not MC)
Who keeps the set of emergency condo keys?

Perhaps if the Board's job was made easier more residents would step up their responsibility.
The above would add costs but less than a Court appointed Receiver.
Do any dysfunctional associations have an area committee that might help?

No doubt some associations have an MC that does almost everything, many DO NOT.

Utility Customers Target of Scam

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is warning consumers to be aware of a new twist on a multi-state scam targeting utility customers through email. Both Florida Power and Light (FPL) and other utility customers have reported receiving phony utility bills through email. If you receive an email with a bill that looks different from your normal bill, is from a different utility company, or asks for personal information like your Social Security or credit card numbers, delete the email immediately and do not click on any links as they may contain malicious spam.

Consumers are advised to authenticate any bill by verifying the account number on the email with your actual account number. Be suspicious of emails that claim a past due balance and threats of interruption of service. Contact the utility provider directly if you're unsure of any notices received.

For additional information, contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at www.800helpfla.com or by calling 1-800-HELP-FLA (435-7352) within Florida, 1-800-FL-AYUDA (352-9832) en Español or (850) 410-3800 from outside of Florida.

VOTING, NOT VOTING AND BULLETING

When I became old enough to vote, I thought the responsible thing to do was vote the maximum—that is, vote for the maximum number of open positions for candidates and vote on every issue. I guess I thought that because of the drumbeat to VOTE. Of course, if one can know all the candidates and have an educated opinion on all the issues, then this is the responsible thing to do.

Practically speaking, very few of us can manage this. Later I realized that voting “the max” wasn’t being responsible, for I was guessing far too much, and if guessing wrong, I could be doing harm rather than good. Better to let those do the voting who knew the candidates I didn’t and had studied the issues with which I was not familiar. So I began to vote only for those candidates I felt I knew enough about and liked, and on those issues I felt I knew enough about. Of course if there were only two candidates for one slot, and one I knew to be a very bad choice, I might vote for the other provided he or she didn’t come as poorly recommended. Issues, as they were worded, often required considerable untangling. I think they do better about this now.

Then someone told me about bulleting and that made sense. If, for example, there were three candidates for two VP positions, and I wanted to be SURE candidate A got in, I could be hurting his (or her) cause if I voted for candidates A and B—even if B was a decent enough candidate. Why? Because, let us say, at the final tally (before my vote) A had 7 votes, B had 8 votes, and C had 10 votes, then after my vote for A and B, the two winners would be B (9) and C (10), and my man would lose. On the other hand, if I had “bulleted” A, C would have still won, and it would have forced a tie between A and B. If TWO of us had bulleted A, then A and C would have won.

The point I learned is that you do the responsible thing: vote, not vote or bullet.

I wish I could say I have always been happy with how those things and people I have voted for have turned out. As I’ve told my kids, that hasn’t always been the case––but I keep trying.

Consumer Reports flushable wipes,swish, shhh!

Companies like Cottonelle and Charmin heavily advertise their flushable wipes. They sound so convenient. But plumbers make a lot of house calls that involve clogged toilets, backed up sewer lines, and flooded basements. Often the culprit is flushable wipes.
Consumer Reports checked out four flushable wipes from Cottonelle, Charmin, Scott and Equate. They all say they’re flushable and make claims like “sewer and septic safe” and “breaks up after flushing.”
In Consumer Reports’ standard tests, toilet paper breaks down quickly. But when testers ran the same test with the flushable wipes they didn’t break down at all.
Consumer Reports gave up after 10 minutes. Testers even ran them for 10 minutes in a mixer, the wipes still didn’t break apart.
Consumer Reports did find that after soaking overnight, two of the products did break down, Cottonelle and Scotts. But even after 12 hours, the ones from Charmin and Equate still stayed in one piece.
Consumer Reports advice, if you use these products don’t flush them down the toilet.

Coin Counting

Anybody know a local bank that has coin counting. For those who collect their own laundry quarters (we are getting tired of counting / rolling the coins.) If you have Axon or McGray, any comments on profit margin etc. (we are also getting tired of carrying heavy coin load).  Do some in CV have credit card type payment method? Thx

No Coco Frio?

Our CV coconut palms have recovered from severe cutting a few years ago. There is a fine crop of nuts growing around the perimeter road. But I do not think we can enjoy them this year, they used to be barely within reach, now the palms are 10-15' taller. <sigh>

DO NOT EAT THE COCONUTS NOR DRINK THE COCONUT WATER

Hi all,
Our Coconut palms have been treated with pesticide to combat spiraling whitefly. The EPA labeling is unambiguous and is presented as follows:
I have attached the label for Mallet T&O for reference.  On page 12 of the label it has the following statement:

DO NOT harvest or consume fruits or nuts from trees that have been treated within 1 year of application.”

Bathroom Radiant Heaters

What is burning in CV's bathrooms, probably the 250 watt infra-red heating bulbs. I unscrewed mine (when cold) and found 10 years of fluff and dust, cleaned the bulbs and cavity-fans with various duster brushes. No more burning smell now just heat.

Former Mizner Trail Golf Course News

Commissioners Delayed Voting - Augh!
After eight long years of failed attempts to develop the 130-acre site, commissioners were scheduled to vote on the latest proposal on Jan. 9, the Sun-Sentinel reported. The proposal includes 288 residences on the former fairways and greens in the Boca Del Mar neighborhood.
At the developer’s request, Palm Beach County commissioners delayed voting on the proposed redevelopment of the former Mizner Trail golf course near Boca Raton until March.

The county’s zoning manager had recommended the plan be rejected.

..best owners can't live in peace..

"Greed and power hunger are major contributors to permanent fights and litigation in HOAs. One extreme example is the "POINCIANA VILLAGE NINE ASSOCIATION, INC." in Kissimmee.

Despite the fact that sitting board members are trying their best to improve this community, a few owners want to grab the power and pursue their own private agendas -- to the detriment of the other owners. One owner files one lawsuit after the other, and once one of his lawsuits is defeated -- or moot -- he quickly files another one. Another owner with a private agenda is one of these "good" *..* who feels that a prayer -- or two -- make up for lying, cheating and trampling on the good names of their neighbors. Funny enough, he hasn't paid his dues to the master association for years! This community is a great example that even the best owners can't live in peace if a few "scumbags" live in their neighborhood!"
Real morality tale from CCFJ.

Simple facts. Look them up

I tried to break this down to a level that a third grader could read. So,
Once again, let us review for the sake of Olga and her incompetent friends that do not know how to read.... look at the property detail.... you will see the address that they own...what is the sale date? oh, is it listed as APRIL 2013? Why yes it is... Let's now look at the Owners... it says Mills Tetro Dorothy and Ross Edwardo J... and what is the mailing address? oh look, it is 5298 Tiffany Anne Cir... Why that's not a Century Village address, is it? why no boys and girls, it is not a Century Village address.
Now boys and girls, if you go on the website and click on the little magnifying glass symbol on the Sales Information section, you will open up a whole new box that will show you how eddie had bought the property a long time ago, and if you click on Nov 2012, you will see that he added Dorothy to his deed. Now click on the Dec 2012 and you will see that Eddie took Dorothy off his deed. So from December 2012 until he put her BACK on in April 2013, Dorothy DID NOT OWN ANY PROPERTY in Century Village. Four months! So she did not qualify to be an officer. Period. Also during the same time, she was living in Cypress Lakes, voted in Cypress Lakes and it is her official mailing address. SHE DOES NOT QUALIFY TO BE AN OFFICER NOR TO RUN FOR ANY OFFICE IN UCO. Being an owner alone does not qualify a person for office. You have to be domiciled in the village, not in Cypress Lakes.  If she wants to run for office, I suggest she do it in Cypress Lakes WHERE SHE LIVES.
Now, for the grown ups: What started out as a clear violation of UCO bylaws, has been made out to be a personal vendetta by Tetro and her supporters. It did not start out that way, but that is what they wanted everyone to believe in order to gain sympathy. They have attacked me, they attack my dog, and anyone I am associated with.
I would like to hear answers, direct answers, honest answers to the questions asked of Tetro Mills.
during  December 11, 2012 to March 31, 2013, (that is 111 days, or 3 months and 21 days) what property did you own in Century Village? None. other than the Cypress Hills property. And prior to that, how long before you were added to Eddie's property, did you not own in the village? You bought the Cypress Lakes property in November of 2011...

SAILBOAT CERTIFICATION ON A COLD AND WINDY DAY

Joining the Sailing Club is one of the best bargains in the Village and a lot of fun for those who participate. Soon there will be an article in the UCO Reporter about getting certified to sail. Ron Helms, commodore (translate: president) of the Sailing Club, had volunteered to demonstrate on Tuesday, January 7, how to right a capsized sailboat out on the lake, get back in, and swim a lap in the pool without using the ladder––the two requirements for certification. Well, yesterday was January 7. It turned out to be a windy day and the coldest day of the season so far. The question was: Would Ron show up under these arctic conditions, and would he go through with the demonstration, which Ken Graff was at the dock to film? Ron did without missing a beat and WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE.

So, congratulations of the day to Ron Helms on a job well done!

Do You Have IFI ?

Do you get all the notices and minutes of meetings from UCO President Dave Israel, IFI (Information Forward Initiative)?  Just send him your email to be on his list of over 800 resident emails. Although this service is often mentioned I do not know if all Bloggers have taken advantage of this.
Thru IFI - I get notices to post on our bulletin board. I get minutes of committee meetings which is great because I cannot attend all meetings.
Send a request, subject line IFI, to ucopresident@gmail.com

*And most important - it is the front line of accurate info against spreaders of ridiculous and malicious misinformation.
